Researchers from the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN) participated in the 9th International Conference on Material Modeling (ICMM9), held from 1 to 3 September 2026 at Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic.
The conference brought together researchers from various fields of material modeling, mechanics, computational mechanics, and materials science, providing a platform for presenting recent scientific developments and exchanging knowledge within the international research community.
IPPT PAN was represented by Prof. Paweł Dłużewski, Dr. Deepjyoti Dhar, MSc. Hojjat Mousavisogolitappeh , and MSc. Mahdi Neghabi.
Prof. Paweł Dłużewski, participated as a session chair and presenter. He chaired the session Thermomechanics, Constitutive Response & High-Rate Loading on 2 September and presented research on the Finite Element Analysis of Residual Stress Fields in Bimaterial GaN/AlGaN Substrates.
The other IPPT PAN researchers contributed to the conference programme through presentations covering phase-field modeling, shape memory alloys, and atomistic simulations of radiation-induced embrittlement. Dr. Deepjyoti Dhar, presented Augmented Lagrangian Treatment of Inequality Constraints in Phase-Field Modelling of Microstructure Evolution. MSc. Mahdi Neghabi, presented Modeling the Interaction Between Localized Transformation and Functional Fatigue in Shape Memory Alloys. MSc. Hojjat Mousavisogolitappeh, presented Atomistic Investigation of Anisotropic Radiation-Induced Embrittlement.
The participation of IPPT PAN researchers in ICMM9 highlights the Institute's involvement in international scientific exchange and its research contributions to advanced computational and theoretical approaches in materials mechanics.
