Throughout his distinguished career in research and public service, he has held numerous prominent positions, including President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Minister of Science, and Adviser to the President of the Republic of Poland. He is also a Knight of the Order of the White Eagle and serves as the Chancellor of the Order of the White Eagle.
