The Doctoral Students’ Council of the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN) is the representative body of doctoral candidates enrolled in the Doctoral School of the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Council’s mission is to support the scientific, professional, and social development of doctoral students, as well as to represent their interests before the Institute’s authorities and other bodies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.



Scope of Activities
1. Representation of Doctoral Students
The Council represents doctoral students in their relations with the Institute’s Directorate, the Scientific Council, and other collegial bodies. It participates in consultations regarding study programs, regulations, and social and organizational matters.
2. Support for Scientific Development
a) Initiating doctoral seminars and interdisciplinary scientific meetings,
b) Organizing methodological workshops and training sessions (e.g., on academic publishing, grant acquisition, and commercialization of research results),
c) Supporting doctoral students’ participation in national and international conferences.
3. Integration of the Doctoral Community
a) Organizing networking and integration events,
b) Promoting collaboration between research teams,
c) Building professional networks among doctoral students from various specializations.
4. Information and Communication
The Council ensures efficient communication between doctoral students and the Institute’s authorities. It provides information on current grant calls, internships, mobility programs, and scientific initiatives.
5. External Cooperation
The Council cooperates with other doctoral student councils operating within units of the Polish Academy of Sciences, as well as with organizations representing early-career researchers in Poland and abroad.

The mission of the IPPT PAN Doctoral Students’ Council is to create a friendly and inspiring research environment that supports the development of research competencies and fosters a community built on collaboration, dialogue, and mutual support.
