The Center for Research Programmes of the European Union has been cooperating for many years with key institutions and organizations in the field of research, innovation and project management. Our key partners are:

Experts based in the Center for Research Programmes of the EU actively work on strengthening the cooperation with partners by participating in conferences, events and meetings. Those actions aim at spreading the knowledge about various research and development initiatives as well as presenting the funding opportunities for R&D. One of the most crutial tasks of CRP experts is sharing their knowledge and experience by taking a stand on various range of issues related to the European Union policy on Research and Development programmes. CRP has actively participated in preparing opinions and evaluations to the EU Funds for Smart Economy (FENG) and EU Funds for Masovia (FEM) programmes.

Aiming at development of the domestic high technology sector and digital transformation of industry, the Center for Research Programmes of the EU is a close partner of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology (IZTECH). The Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, as the founder of IZTECH, is also a member of the Digital Transformation Managerial Competence Network (KOMNET) initiated by IZTECH in 2021.

Conference “How effectively implement R&D strategies in the Polish industry?”

The flagship event organized by the Center for Research Programmes of the EU is the Conference „How effectively implement R&D strategies in the Polish industry?". The event is addressed to the Polish companies interested in entering the path of innovation, as well as implementing R&D&I projects (Research, Development, Innovation). The Conference is a forum of exchange of the best practices regarding the creation of a friendly ecosystem for innovative business endeavours. The Conference also provides the added value by presenting the success stories of the UE programmes beneficiaries’ of the past financial perspective, as well as of those who take their first steps in the world of innovation.

An important part of the R&D Conference is to demonstrate the benefits of the support system offered by STEP Instrument (Acronym for: "We will check your Experimental Project Idea") and "Innovation Coach".

Innovation Coach

Innovation Coach is a systemic project financed from ERDF - The European Funds for Smart Economy 2021-2027 provided by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy in strategic partnership with the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN).  The budget of the initiative amounts 32 Min. PLN (8 Mio. Euros).

Innovation coach is for Polish companies who want to innovate. Thanks to Innovation Coach, Polish companies have the opportunity to: 

• participate in a unique innovation coaching process;
• create an idea for their first innovation with the support of industry experts;
• gain essential knowledge and tools to initiate research and development work;
• consciously seek support from public and European Funds to implement their ideas;
• continuously develop employees' competencies through tailor-made courses and workshops;
• embark on the path of innovation and increase their chances of success.

Participants of Innovation Coach

Innovation Coach is aimed at entrepreneurs who:

• wish to conduct research and development (R&D) work but are unsure how to initiate the process, and
• lack experience in acquiring funding for research and development and innovation activities.

Innovation Coach is designed for companies that meet all of the following requirements:

• registered within the territory of the Republic of Poland (RP).
• their area of operation aligns with the Classification of Economic Activities (Polish acronym: KIS).
• lack experience in conducting R&D activities and acquiring public funding for such purposes.
• seek ideas for innovation based, among other things, on the research and development process.

Since 2019 a total of 1042 companies have benefited from innovation coaching service. Our next goal is to coach further 2200 companies by the end of 2027.

Horizontal Contact Point to the Horizon Europe for Central Poland

Horizontal Contact Point to the Horizon Europe for Central Poland – The Horizontal Contact Point for the EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe supports beneficiaries and applicants of the Horizon Europe programme for 2022-2027 in the Central Macroregion, covering the regions of: Łódź Voivodeship and Mazovian Voivodeship (without the capital city of Warsaw).

The Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences is an active member of the consortium with University of Łódź (consortium leader) and Warsaw University of Technology.

The initiatives of Horizontal Contact Point include in particular: information and consulting activities in various forms, organization of trainings and workshops, consultations for entities preparing project applications, consultations for entities implementing projects, issuing opinions on indicated documents regarding the Horizon Europe programme.

Horizontal Contact Point to the Horizon Europe for Central Poland specializes in supporting enterprises in synergy with the activities carried out in the Innovation Coach project.

National Contact Point for the Horizon 2020 program

The task of the NCP was to inform about competitions, organize information days, brokerage meetings, trainings, conferences, run a website and consultations, prepare publications and newsletters. For more advanced beneficiaries, in-depth consulting services were provided in the field of preparation of applications and mentoring.

The NCP coordinated the activities of the EURAXESS network as well as Regional Contact Points, located in the largest academic centers and Industry Contact Points located at Polish Technology Platforms and key clusters. As part of the activities of several dozen high-class experts with knowledge in the field of sectoral programs, as well as building consortia, conducting negotiations, preparing project applications, lobbying, coordination and formal and financial settlements of projects, provided support to those interested in participating in the Horizon 2020 Framework Program.

NCP experts made a significant contribution to the construction of the European Research Area (ERA), the preparation of subsequent framework programmes - FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe - as well as the preparation and implementation of structural funds. During the period of operation of the NCP, over 1,500 meetings, information days and workshops were organized, over 70,000 consultations were provided and over 250 editorial materials were published.
